This review is from: Okay, So I Got fat (Paperback)

"Ok So I Got Fat" is a fun and entertaining book to read and it provides a simple, easy-to-follow Gluten/Dairy-Free menu plan for an entirely new life style. You can tell by the list of references in the back that Gigi did a very thorough job researching the literature before settling on gluten/dairy-free as an approach to a lifestyle change that results in significant weight loss. Although this approach to food (giving up gluten and dairy) may not be for everyone, following the suggestions in the book, even just temporarily, can springboard anyone into a healthier lifestyle.

Many people resist healthy food because they think cooking healthy takes too much time or it won't taste as good as the processed junk food they eat now. Nothing could be further from the truth, and that is one of the points Gigi makes. Cooking and eating healthy **can** be easy and **can** taste good and Gigi proves it.

My personal interest in the book is the recipes because I have been doing what Gigi did for many years already, just not Gluten/Dairy-free. At most, I have only been 5 lbs overweight in my whole life (and not by a doctors' standards, by my own standards). I am always interested in new, healthy recipes and techniques to make eating healthy easier. I am impressed with the book not only because it gives me what I am looking for, but also because it is such a fun book to read!

Get the book, have fun reading it (I literally laughed out loud about 5 times) and follow Gigi's plan. You will lose weight, be happier and you will see that you can adopt a new life style and never go back to the old way. There is not a lot of talk about exercise in the book and I think that is fine because everyone knows exercise is important, too. The focus of the book is to help people in the kitchen. Weight will come off whether you exercise or not. Try it out and see...
